at Ancienne Lorette, Feb. 3/1766 to Marie Maranda. Etienne and Maranda had
signed a marriage contract on Jan. 23/1766 before notary Geneste.
Marie was only 18 years old. This contract was under the english regime.
In this contract, Etienne's mother Louis's widow at the time, had given
Etienne half of her belongings, furniture, house etc.. Etienne and Marie
